In Nampa, and many cities around the world, young people are adrift. Some of them come from very difficult backgrounds and they are seeking purpose and meaning in their lives. As part of our local outreach, IMN provides mentoring along with martial arts training to youth. Youth are invited to train in martial arts on scholarship and they are matched with local, background-checked, adults who meet with them to talk about life and provide a listening ear. IMN volunteers also lead Bible studies for teen girls to study the Bible and discuss life issues.
The MISSION of Empty Hand Warrior is:
To reach at‐risk juveniles with relationships of hope that guide them out of a
system of negative choices and failure, to social and academic success.
The VISION of Empty Hand Warrior is:
To offer a relationship of hope to every at‐risk youth in our community
by connecting them with a trained mentor or small group program committed to
the whole‐life good of that youth. And, to build a relationship of trust and respect
that recognizes his or her uniqueness and offers life‐transforming hope
and opportunities to that young person.
The Mandate for the Warrior’s program is:
Brothers and sisters, if a person gets trapped by wrongdoing, those of you who are
spiritual should help that person turn away from doing wrong. Do it in a gentle
way. At the same time watch yourself so that you also are not tempted.
You can provide help and hope to young people by partnering with IMN in mentoring Nampa youth or by supporting financially to provide martial arts equipment, uniforms, Bible study materials and food.
